Samuel Cohen-Scali

President

Samuel Cohen-Scali began his career by securing actuarial positions at Manulife Financial, Aetna Life, NN Financial, and Equinox Financial. Following his position at Equinox Financial, Samuel worked as a Regional Director for RBC Insurance, where he managed the high-net-worth division of Life Insurance and Estate Planning. In 2004, Samuel founded his own Insurance and Estate Planning Firm, which presently serves high-net-worth families across Canada, some of which are currently third-generation clients. He also works as an expert consultant for other insurance advisors on advanced life insurance and estate planning cases.

Samuel and his wife, Karine, are highly active in philanthropic causes and are dedicated to helping their community and those in need. Samuel is also a talented and dedicated martial artist, who has trained with renowned professional athletes in the art of Muay Thai. Samuel’s passion for the art has allowed him to become a more disciplined, focused, and successful individual and professional.

Karine Hazan has more than twenty years of experience in the marketing and insurance industries and is well versed in the industrial realms of medicine and pharmaceuticals. Karine has been a fundamental player in the success of SCS Financier as her expertise lies in developing intuitive estate planning analysis for clients. Among many notable points in her career, Karine was an integral player in the launch of a premier medical website for the Canadian Medical Association.

Aside from raising three resilient girls, Karine is passionate about her philanthropic initiatives on scientific advancement. Her dedication to charitable causes has significantly contributed to her professional expertise as well as her role within the financial realm of estate planning.

Catherine Leblanc

Tax Specialist

Catherine Leblanc is member of the Quebec CPA Order since 2002 and has a graduate diploma in taxation from the Université de Sherbrooke. Catherine has more than 20 years of experience in Canadian taxation, mainly within different accounting firms. She is also a lecturer for the master’s degree program in taxation at the Université de Sherbrooke and for the bachelor’s degree at UQAM. As part of her professional practice, she helps her clients optimize their tax objectives. She specializes in consulting services related to tax compliance, reorganization, business transfer and estate planning.

Catherine divides her free time between her family, traveling and practicing several sports, such as cycling, skiing, hiking and crossfit.
